Aurora
Aurora Aksnes, born June 15th, 1995 in Stavanger and is professionally known as Aurora sometimes stylized in uppercase in the form of AURORA is an Norwegian singer and songwriter. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves, released in May 2015 by Decca Records to great approval from music journalists and media. Half the World Away - by the Oasis - for John Lewis' Christmas ad and Nature Boy - by Nat King Cole - are already two of the most notable covers the artist has done. Katy Perry posted a video in which she endorsed Runaway. The endorsement earned her some attention. Celebrate her special day. Aurora Aksnes' earliest musical memories are of discovering an instrument hidden in her attic, and becoming fascinated with its sounds. Jan Oystein Aksnes' parents May Britt Aksnes advised her to pursue music for the sake of personal development, and not as a way of earning money or to pursue an interest. The singer began to write songs of her own. She cites renowned songwriters Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan as influences as well as a love for Bjork's style. When her mother told her that the songs she composed might not make her famous but instead to inspire people to see the value of themselves and their impact on this world, she started playing them on stage. She began playing the piano as her primary instrument, at six. She started writing music when she turned nine. Her family didn't be aware until fourteen. Aurora had no idea of being a famous singer. Her only passion is to compose music. For her, music is the most effective method of feeling anything.
